Nemesis DeGreaser

Nemesis DeGreaser is the result of tests on hundreds of formulations. It is a uniquely balanced blend of water based non-ionic with a slight amount of anionic surfactant. Nemesis DeGreaser is ideal for cleaning and degassing fuel storage tanks, cleaning bilges, pump and engine rooms, suppressing Volatile Organic Vapours (VOC’s), hydrocarbon spill cleanup, and waste water treatment to lower hydrocarbon to legal discharge limits.

Product Details

Nemesis DeGreaser separates the long chain hydrocarbons into microscopic particles and encapsulates them in an oxygen bearing solution. This action can instantly suppress volatile organics vapours below combustion levels, and enhance the degradation time by creating large interfacial surface areas (micro emulsions) of hydrocarbon and bacteria. Degradation time will vary depending upon environmental conditions and available bacteria and oxygen to degrade the hydrocarbon particles and remove them from the environment.

In instances of volatile hydrocarbon spills into drains and sewers, by emulsifying and encapsulating the hydrocarbon material throughout the water, Nemesis DeGreaser immediately helps reduce or eliminate the vapour release and the danger of fire or explosion.

Nemesis DeGreaser is ideal for cleaning and degassing fuel storage tanks, cleaning bilges, pump and engine rooms, suppressing Volatile Organic Vapours (VOC’s), hydrocarbon spill cleanup, waste water treatment to lower hydrocarbon to legal discharge limits. OPA 90 deckside emulsifier eliminates oily residue from spills.

Roadways, Pavements, Garage/Factory Floors

Nemesis DeGreaser will not adversely affect asphalt. Upon proper application and wash down to containment, Nemesis DeGreaser will instantly stop the deterioration of asphalt by diesel or gas, and immediately improve footing conditions.

Simply pour Nemesis DeGreaser onto affected area, agitate and wash off. Slippery conditions will improve immediately upon treating affected area.

Storage Tanks

Apply through power washer at 50% to suppress VOC vapours. For dealing with Tank Sludge: following proper protocol, Nemesis DeGreaser can allow desorption of oils, allowing recoverable hydrocarbons to be separated from sludge.

Odour Control

Nemesis DeGreaser works on many volatile organics and problem odours.

Dilution Guide

Cleaning up Oil Spills

Heavy Clean: Use 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser to 4 parts water
Light Clean: Use 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser to 10 parts water.

Patio & Drive Clean up

Patio / new oil stains on drive - 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser to 5 parts water
Old stains on drive**– 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser with 2 parts warm water. Pour onto stain, agitate with stiff brush, leave 10 –15 mins, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat if necessary.

Workshop floors:

Initial clean: Depending on level of contamination, between 1part Nemesis DeGreaser to 4 parts water and 1part Nemesis DeGreaser to 10 parts water.
General clean: 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser to 10 parts water.
Pressure Wash: Mix a solution 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser to 2 parts water before feeding into pressure washer (adjust m/c as required).

Heavy Equipment:

For oil field equipment, engine blocks, heavy road construction equipment, floors or any other surface where extra heavy grease deposits occur, mix 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser with 1-2 parts water and apply by spray. When grease starts to slide, rinse off with high-pressure water. For light to medium grease mix 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser with 6 parts water.

Safety Flooring:

Initial clean of ingressed soiling: 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser with 3 parts water.
General clean: 1 part Nemesis DeGreaser with 10 parts water.

Kitchens:

To clean ovens and fryers, best results are obtained by applying Nemesis DeGreaser full strength or at a 50/50 dilution with water and heating the unit to a temperature 200F to 300F. If possible, let stand overnight and rinse down the following day when convenient, using a stiff bristle brush, if necessary. No gloves, mask, or other safety equipment are required for staff.
